Toolkit Installation

There are two versions of the Toolkit installer, the regular one and a binary-only one, the latter of which is smaller in size, but functionality equivalent.

To install either version:

  1. After the download is complete, unzip the content, put the files in a temp folder, and start the vhtoolkit installer executable.
  2. Click Next and then agree to the License Agreement.
  3. Choose the location in which to install the Toolkit and click Next. The default location is 'C:\vhtoolkit'.
  4. After the main Toolkit installation, the 3rd party installer will start.
  5. Click Next then check what you want and click Install. Continue clicking Next and use the default values to complete each installation.
  6. After the installation is complete, you can choose to run the Launcher on exit.

Notes:

  • Be aware that any existing files will be overwritten by new files, while no files will be deleted. To ensure a completely clean installation, it is therefore recommended to first delete any old installation of the Toolkit. Be sure to backup any personal data first.
  • Due to size, the executable and data files are now split up within the provided zip archive, rather than having a single executable.

If you run into any problems, please see the FAQ for possible solutions.

3rd Party Software

The Toolkit uses a variety of 3rd party software, including ActiveMQ and .NET. For a full list of required software, see the appropriate section on the Components page.

Both of the main Toolkit installers contain all required 3rd party software, which we also offer as a stand-alone installer.
